Is anyone else feeling the end of the year overwhelm?
We’re in the home stretch of the school year — and it’s a lot, isn’t it?
Between end of the year concerts, class parties, field day, teacher gifts, final projects, and exams… sometimes I feel that I need a second brain to keep a track of it all.
If you're feeling stretched thin, emotional, or exhausted — you're not alone.
This time of the year is intense.
There’s so much packed in and the pressure to squeeze it all in.
To show up for all the moments, and to hold space for your child’s big feelings about transitions, endings, and upcoming changes.
As a parent coach, I want to offer you a gentle reminder:
You don’t have to do it all perfectly.
You’re allowed to feel overwhelmed.
You can slow down, say no, or change your mind.
There’s so much happiness at this time of the year- the proud smiles at concerts, the hugs after class parties, the bittersweet goodbyes as another grade wraps up.
But behind the scenes? There’s just as much overwhelm for both parents and children.
Allow yourself to celebrate the wins - every single one, big or small.
Think about everything you’ve handled through the year— the early mornings, the school projects, the endless forms, the schedule changes, and all the emotional ups and downs that came with it.
And for the things that slipped through the cracks - give yourself grace.
